same goes for an NSX. 90k?! for 290bhp, v6, high 12's at best! what. you could buy 4 used C5 vettes for that kinda coin, or 100 other cars. why is the NSX so loved, intangibles. go drive one, and you'll know.
Lol, now go drive a Supercharged FRC w/Z51 and you'll know

Haha had to add that one for you

Lol, maybe im biased but I dont know why anyone would take a NSX over a C6Z, IMO there is no comparison and you could pick up a Z cheaper.
C6Z nice very nice

z06 vs. nsx...no comparison, sorry. z06 all day everyday and twice on sunday.

i know what you guys mean about the "soul" of the car...it's why i still have a smile everytime i drive the s2k, while my 112mph+ trapping Evo IX sometimes feel dull.

but i cant justify paying the same price for a 5 yr old+ car when i can get a new car that traps 125mph and laps the 'ring faster than even the nsx-r; it's pure performance you can't beat.

i'll let the guy in my rear view mirror worry about who's pretty.

and IMHO z06 looks better than the nsx. yeah i guess i'm crazy.

I guess I will add that for me although the latest incarnation of the Corvette desurves much praise as a performer and even in the looks department, it is still just American muscle, same ol pushrod front engine V8. There is really nothing interesting about it. It is still just meat and potatos. What can we discuss about it besides performance numbers? Is there anything about it that is ground breaking or difforent that can support somewhat of a interesting conversation about its design attributes?

The platform of the NSX for example is an exotic one, and its a unique Japanese one, there for is way more interesting in my book. It is just a way more interesting car to be apart of regardless of its lesser perfomance numbers in a strait line. A supercharged NSX to me would just seem to be a fantastic interesting car all the way around. This doesn't mean I would go out right away and buy either one of these cars but for the sake of what the appealing quality's are I have to go with the NSX all the way. This is s2ki.com is it not? Not LS1.com

I guaranty if you were to park a Zo6 and a NSX in a parking lot side by side that the NSX being 15 years old would still get more attention and enquireries to the owner then the Corvette would. There is something to be said for this. This is one reason why my s2000 is so fun. I wouldn't trade it for any faster Camerobird or Corvette for that matter. I understand this is only my humble opinion, not fact for everyone of course.

Now, go park a 10 year old Viper next to both and see which one gets the most attention. I will guarantee that the Viper gets the most attention. I know, because I have done it!

I agree...

But what does that have to do with a Corvette? More similar then a NSX but still the only thing a Corvette and a Viper have in comon is that they are both American and have a pushrod engine. I would take a Viper over a Corvette too if I had to make the choice between the two. You have to agree this is definetely more unique in structure and appearance then a Vet. Same as the NSX, just different.

if you are going to compare, you have to compare like products. A corvette is not an exotic, limited run vehicle like the NSX, or for that matter, a viper.

So if you are going to compare an NSX based on the attention it gets, its obviously much more exotic and less seen than a corvette. (ie- similar to a viper)

I agree with the fact that the NSX and Viper are more exotic and they would get more attention. But this is a selling point for me above strait line performance which is one point I was making. Somehow this thread turned into Corvette vs NSX so i'm just going with the flow pointing out some other angles of selling points to the Vet Lovers one liners on the thread, which is also a point I was trying to make. You can only really think of one liners for a Vet. It has little character to go indepth about. Its just not a very intesting car.

The "old guy in the Vet" stigma still has some relivence to me too I geuss. I thought the 69 stingray was a cool car, but that was when I was a kid more in my Muscle car faze.
