S2000 vs. Trans Am

As someone in the middle of switching from a Trans Am to an S2000, I agree that the S2000 feels much nimbler and seems to react to driver input much quicker than an F body. When people say the S2000 "handles better", that's likely what they mean.
That's not what counts on a road course after the first lap, though. Once you know the course, you don't have to have lightning reflexes - you know each corner and the line you'll take through it, and if you also know the F body well, you'll know by how much of a fraction of a second you have to anticipate to get the car to cut in at the right time. Once you're in the corner, the F body has just about as much lateral grip as an S2000. Even if the speed through the corner is fractionally slower, the F body's extra low end torque more than makes up for it.

You must not know. A S with a blower will kick a trans am butt. I have done it. Along with a long list of other V8's.
Plus for $500.00 bucks you can take a stock S and put a wet N2O kit on it and keep right up with a trans am. But it all comes down to driver.
RAT
P.S. You must own a trans am
Sorry.

You will be lucky to run low mid 13's with a blower. Not enough to beat your average LS1.
It is sad that a few ignorant fanbois make everyone here look dumb.

I do believe torque on a track is helpful. That being said, it is not difficult to spend a whole session in VTEC.

It is sad that a few V8 guys troll a S2000 website.

my friends turbo s2000 made 280rwhp on low boost and we raced it against a trans-am with just FREE MODS and the TA won by 2-3 car lenths each time and was still pulling away
a standard blown S2000 making 300rwhp is not that fast
there are some fast ones on here like sideways and blkturbos2k etc
