[QUOTE=S2000RAT,Jan 4 2005, 09:32 AM] You must not know. A S with a blower will kick a trans am butt. I have done it. Along with a long list of other V8's.

Plus for $500.00 bucks you can take a stock S and put a wet N2O kit on it and keep right up with a trans am. But it all comes down to driver.

RAT

P.S. You must own a trans am

Why are you guys hating on your own cars?

I pulled up to a light and there was a firebird or whatever you call it, one of the big american cars. Dude looked at me and started shaking his head, then said "You really think that little honda can keep up with this"?

I didn't even wanna race him, but he pissed me by putting my car down. Light turned green, i dumped it at 5,500 and took off. I got the better launch and was about a car ahead, by the end of first gear he caught up and we were almost even, then he missed second and I walked. At the next light, i was laughing at him and he was all pissed trying to race again. Light turned green, he took off, and i continued to do the speed limit. They are fast but not that fast, to say a SCed S2k will not beat one is not right. On the track all american cars will be faster because they all have the torque to launch, S2000's either spin or bog.

I have too raced LS1's and lost but it was not by that much, and I was stock.

I understand you guys are all into your loud V8 cars but theres no need to hate on Hondas. If you like the LS1 then go post in the LS1 forum, don't come here starting ruckus. just my 2 cents.

it's not that we're hating on our cars at all, some of us are just realistic. which seems to be a fleeting quality around here as of late. unwillingness to admit that another car is faster is such a boy-racer mentallity and a sure sign of immaturity too. it happens all the time here, like with the Evo or the SRT-4, or any other car that isn't an S2000. i realize most of you are just trying to justify your purchase, but god.. it gets old.

as a matter of fact, i DO post on an LS1 forum, and a mustang forum, and an Evo forum, so what's your point?

And then someone said that you'll be "Lucky" to run mid or low 13's with a supercharger on the S. Are you smokin crack?

I ran a 13.7 with short ram intake and an HKS exhaust, both of which add no power and maybe even take some away. So adding 100 hp to my car will not make me any faster? That will actually make the S have more power than an LS1 but no it will still be slower right.

I hate these arguments between domestic people and import people, it will never end. We should all just get together and race so there will be no more shit talkin.

You will be lucky to run low mid 13's with a blower. Not enough to beat your average LS1.

It is sad that a few ignorant fanbois make everyone here look dumb.
Ever think that you are the one making everyone look dumb?

Remember that these Camaros and Firebirds are good for accelerations only, but inferior in everything else, SUBJECTIVE and OBJECTIVE. Remember why GM killed off productions, not because the prices were rocket-high, they were rather cheap, but because the public had enough of those crappy cars, fast and cheap but crappy. The cars had decades of history, yet when GM decided to kill productions, it had to be a huge decision and the situation couldn't be repaired anymore.

Wonder why a car in the low $20's thousand that could do low 13's couldn't sell? Geez, I wonder why.
