Just check my sig. Even a stock S2000 can demolish an older Boxster. It wasn't until recently that Porsche began actually making the Boxster a bit faster.

 

Not sure on the exact dates but Boxter first had a 202hp version, then came out with 212hp and then fallowing the S when it came out they bumped it up to about 240 to better compete. It wasn't until just a couple years ago that they were much of anything to mention. Even today a low boosted car would dominate. I pulled several cars on a Caymen S from 20 to 120 with my stock 5psi CTSC. Same motor/power rating as the current boxter S. Yeah stock for stock the Boxter makes aprox 75 more trq, but they also weigh 400 pounds more, they virtually cancel each other out so hp is more of the factor to compare.

 

I changed my sig, btw, folks. Sorry for the inconvenience, but my sig contained a quote from the Top Gear website that stated something down the lines that the S2000 is a better performance car than the Porsche Boxster, as it revvs up to 9,000 rpm.
