i read in the new iport tuner that they ran 10 dyno runs on a 2011 wrx and it never ran close to the same number, the lowest it did was 195 and the highest 236 a good tune is the only way to get consistant numbers says ispeed usa

s2000 ap1 stock vs. 91' Nissan 300zx twin turbo

Who will win in a straight race? I have this acquaintance who is extremely cocky and he swears on his life that the 300zx is an all around better car than the s2k. Any input?

^Im pretty sure you would loose, those cars are quick especially on the highway, you might be able to get him from a dig though and this is if hes stock if hes modified then you have no chance. Being a better all around car? Thats subjective I guess but honestly its hard to work on, not as reliable, its heavy and doesnt handle as well. I like the 300zx just not over an s2k.

Either the car is tuned or is isn’t. Heat is usually the biggest factor in this kind of scenario. Being turbo ads another variable, if boost is fluctuating to an unknown.

the article from ispeed usa said "the 2011 EJ25 dosnt take kindly to bolt ons. it seems the ecu's are becoming more self aware and slapping on parts without tune will decrease power. even in base line testing, the sti never ran consistantly, sometimes making 195whp while at other times making 236whp." in the end they came to a conclusion that the 2011 sti requires a 10-20sec battery diconnect/ecu reset between runs to ensure consistance.
i dont think it had anything to do with heat, i may be wrong i dont own an sti nor do i know much about them i had just happened to stumble on this article and i know that ispeed usa is prety notoriouse in the impreza game.

Do either of you have any mods? Is the Z an auto or manual? How many miles are on the Z?

The Z32 is not an all-around better car than the S2000, that's an absolute joke. Probably no sense in trying to convince him otherwise.

My ap2 w/ tp and single apexi n1- k&n intake vs all stock 2011 golf gti.
