20 roll, saved the longest race for last. He gets half a car lead before we go too. (Both didn't let off till :33, look then!)

-We raced without passengers, it was slightly closer, but I still pulled hard in my 3rd gear(and harder in 4th) everytime.

Please take both cars to the drag strip so you can provide times

The weather was nice today, so I decided to take "F1 S2K" out and drive it to work.

On the way to work, stopped at a red light and next to me a Subaru blue WRX 4 door pulled up - you know, the one with the scoop on the hood. I am not very well versed in WRX's but this one looked a few years old (driven hard and put up wet) and must have had an aftermarket exhaust because it sounded louder than it should.

At any rate, the light turns green and we both get rolling... I held my ground, nowhere near VTEC but we both had a friendly run through the gears. Neither of us blinked. We were even for a few blocks - nothing stupid. Eventually he turned right at an intersection while I kept going. Like I said, we were very even and no, we kept things very civil.

Question: What is an older WRX 4-door capable of? I don't endorse street racing - it is not only irresponsible, it is just plain stupid. However, what is an older WRX capable compared to an S2K?

We're the brake calipers gold by chance? Could of been a STI.

It was not an STI. Of that I am sure.

Instead of "WRX vs Me" it should read "How does an S2K compare to a WRX?"

Older WRX=15 flat car, maybe high 14s with a ridiculous launch (assuming the glass transmission holds). Nothing to write home about by any means. Older STi, on the other hand, = mid-13s with a good launch.

Pro tip: Don't race factory turbo cars unless you're ready for a potential ego blow. It may be a 15 second car stock, but they get a lot faster with not too much $$.
