Ok so would I better doing a 3rd gear at 60 roll vs 1st at 25 or 2nd at 45?

That is what I believe. You should have him on the top end.

Opponent: 350z
Mods: unknown mod list. (sounded like he had some intake and exhaust.)

Vs

MY01 Ap1
Mods: K&N FIPK, Stock ap1 Header, Invidia 70mm test pipe, Invidia q300 titanium dual exhaust, ACT stage 2 HD Pressure plate, Stock tune

60mph roll. Won by a car and a half length.

2004 S2000 with berk 3' exhaust & knn drop in with intake-box mod VS 2003 350z with Test pipes and knn drop in.

in highway speeds he keeps beating me, I start to catch up but just cant seem to get past his door .
If we were to race from a stop, at what Rpm should I get ready to launch the car? Whats the best rpm to rev the vehicle to right before a green light.

While I highly advise you not to launch the s, ever... It's best to do a few test launches yourself, definitely nothing under 3k, I'd launch at between 3-4000 on the street.

Also, I don't know how you're losing. I've yet to lose to a 350, always go from 60-120

Idk, I've heard people say that I shouldn't have any problems and I've also been told a stock Z would take me out everything due to torque and horsepower difference.

I've heard our cars are Blythe the best to launch, but I'm sure a very short amount of launches shouldn't be to mad. I can't keep up with him highway, as soon as I start making power he switches to next gear. So I need to try something diffrent
