I was driving home from S. Austin Sunday night when I came upon a C5 Vette w/ aftermarket exhaust (Borla?). I knew he'd dust me if he wanted to, but thought I'd see if he wanted to play. No luck, he let me go by.

I get on S. MOPAC, and hit the red light @ William Cannon. The C5 pulled up to my right, but I didn't think anything of it since he didn't seem anxious to play. Soon as the light turns green, he punches it, and I instinctively did the same after catching on to the fact that he wanted to dust me. He was already 1-2 lengths ahead of me by the time I got going, but I was genuinely surprised at how well the S2K held the gap...the C5 didn't seem to be pulling away at all after I got going.

I'll call it a loss, but I was pretty happy that it wasn't worse than expected!

 

Nice run...it's always nice to show the big boys that we're not afraid to play.

Dude, if he wanted to run away I guarantee he would. Been there done that a few times, and same thing every time. Several cars on me very quick. Plus at higher speeds they really murder the S2k.
