Maybe there's user error or the 18's are just too heavy. I do have an aftermarket clutch, but mine has pulled strong all the way to 147MPH w/ the top down before I got scared and let up off the gas.

As for slower acceleration and higher top speed, I dont see it. Maybe it just takes a long time to get there.
