sad only if the rx-8 had maybe equal quickness or something then I would have looked or test driven them but I've seen many doing 15s

I would agree with you guys on this. The RX8 is in no way the same class as the S2000. Weither its manual or auto the car is a slug. As far as the EVO claim over the S2000. I would agree that it would take a stock S2000 but put a boosted S2000 against a boosted EVO then compare. The S2000 would win hands down everytime. Then I always go back to looks. The EVO looks horrible. But thats just me.

I was in my 04 when i saw the neon with racing numbers in a parking lot. Asked him what he ran, he said 13.8. A couple weeks ago i got a 14.07 at the track, so we went ahead and raced. got a good straight away and went from a roll of about 20 to 135mph. It was the closest race i've ever had. Nose to nose the whole time, I'd pull when he shifted and he'd pull when i shifted.

uummm, i said 13.8 not 13.08 against the neon. Now that was a drivers race, i had shifted wrong he would of won and if he would of shifted wrong then i would of won. Don't think its like that with the RX-8.

Btw, TheEVO destroys the S in every respect. If you mod the EVO its like taking
candy from a baby. the 2liter turbo charged EVo engine is a little wolverine.

Check the stats in August '04 Car and Driver. The evo even outhandles the S in the figure 8 and slalom. The stock Evo murders almost everything in its class.

LOL, thats why we have the EVO. we already had a 2 seater now we needed something with more room thats why we settled for the EVO.

As for boost vs boost....Well the way I look at it, is your already taking a highly tuned car (the S2K) and boosting it. The EVO is not very fine tuned from the factory. I mean look at the HP, 240 NA to 271 FI. I have seen races on here where SC'd S2K's barely pull away from modded EVO's and im not talking heavy mods. With the mods I plan on the EVO (cams, ecu, downpipe, intake) were talking $2K and low 12's, most S2K's even boosted run high 12's...no comparison
