WOW!! A 4" pulley for me would be like 13PSI.

Really? On a Comptech? Do you mean Vortech? 4 inch on AP1 with Comptech is around 7lbs and on AP2 is around 6.5.

To get 13lbs I believe I would need around 3.2 inches.

I don't know who is doing your tunning but I would seek another tuner. Are you running larger injectors?

What's the problem with his tuning?

Really? I'm curious why as well.

I used p-tuning in manassas VA and was very happy with them. The guy who tuned it has a 500+ hp turboed ap1 and he's very knowledgeable (especially with getting around VFAC's limitations). I would know if he wasn't because I've been cruising this site for 2+ years. He took the time to explain everything in detail and he patiently answered all of my questions.

And it seems the 310 to 315 hp, by dynojet standards (or dyna pack - I get them mixed up), is in line with what others get with the 4 inch pulley mod (for AP1's at least). In fact, it's slightly better because I'm AP2 with a little less boost.

I'm running stock injectors. He did say my fuel pressure is maxed out, so I'm at the limits of proper tuning with my setup. I have one lean spot around 6,200 rpm, where the afr hits around 12.8, but around it it's ok; I think less then 12 below vtec and less than 12.5 between 6,200 and redline (redline is around 12.3).

The car runs fantastic.

this was done last week on a dynojet with a 4.4" pulley on my AP2 Vortech with an Emanage ultimate.I'll be upgrading to a 4.2" pulley in a couple weeks, which should get me about 10psi.

Blue is the tuned one, red was from several months ago before the tune.I gained about 20tq in the mid range and Vtec was dropped to 4.5k.

I'm very curious to know how the emanage ultimate is working for you.

If I can't come up with a solution to get around emissions, my next upgrade may be limited to a piggy back and the emanage ultimate seems to be ideal, given what it can control.

But I haven't seen too many posters using it, and some that have have found it difficult to tune with. But this may have been when it was new and buggy. Maybe that's been worked out and there's enough of a knowledge database out there on how to make it work for the S.
