No, we didn't launch. We went from 10-85 and I beat him by 1 car. He was surely modified, because I would've left a stock one like a turtle racing a hare.

The VAG 1.8T's make *significantly* more torque than the S2k. Figure a chipped GTI is making about 210hp/240 tq. With the little turbos that come stock, full boost is available before 2000 rpm.

In terms of big turbo kits, they put down very good power. A GT25 kit with the trimmings can put out 300 crank hp and 300 tq.

Your best bet is a launch as FWD cars don't launch well, but if you really do go from a roll, then expect a mildly worked GTI to keep up, and a well worked GTI to leave you behind.

Chipped/exhaust GTI's do the quarter in about 14.0-14.3 depending on driver from what ive seen.

I've never gotten an S2k to bite.
