What generation GTI did you race, because I know the 20th anniversary edition GTI are 6-speed and 180hp from the factory, although in order to promote the selling of the more expensive 2.8L VR6 which is 200 hp at the crank the advertised the GTI as 180hp which is really 180whp. If this is so, it could have been stock.
