1: Yeah, you're right. As a general rule of thumb, if there are 2 cars that weigh close to the same amount and have the same horsepower output, the car with DOUBLE the torque will prevail. (Of course the Lambo doesn't weigh anything near an S2000). Anyone with an S2000 with its whopping 150 ft/lb knows that even with a 4.11 gear it's not exactly a drag king.
It's so funny whenever people talk about torque being important for being fast. Carroll Shelby once said: "Horsepower sells cars; torque wins races."
His generation also believed smoking was good for you.
