Dude, Blxmjx, thank you, someone that finally understands.

I dont like bench racing but I forgot what company it was, ran a 13.7 in the rex. I'll do a little searching but I doubt i'll find it.

We all know G-tech is compleat BS but one guy ran a 13.87

I will continue looking and add to this reply.

Edit : Oh well can't find it. And I'm out so oh well

Most are low 14 second cars though. Easily changed with just a few mods.

Well, I ran a 14.5@95 with my stock WRX and about 3K miles on the engine. I'm sure with a bit more break in period, it could pull lower 14s. Now, for a high 13, it would at least require upped boost. But then, this is just my opinion.

To run 13's on a stock wrx would be very hard. It's been done before, but you would have to have the right conditions (good weather, launch, shifting, altitude, etc.) I personally ran 14.1 @ 95mph stock.

And yeah, the s2k does feel like its going faster. One thing I love about the s2k, feels great to drive, and on the freeway it probably IS going faster. But off the line, its all about the rex and really theres no arguing it. Espesially if modded.

With the average driver the z06 will run a higher 12 second run.

I have seen one run low 13's in person. (driver sucked)
(also saw it on video which i dont have any more, vs a white E36 m3 supercharged, m3 beat it, z06 ran a VERY low 13 second run)
goes to show what a differance the driver makes.
You guys are focusing too much on the ETs and not so much on the TRAP SPEEDS, which give you a better idea how much faster the car will be on highway type races.

You see, a WRX stock traps about 94mph on average. Add all your boltons and boost with stock turbo I think the highest is 104-105 or so. And I might be optimistic on that last one.

Now, onto the real car: A new Z06, the 405hp one, will trap usually around 112 or so on average. A few bolton mods and 120mph is attainable in the 1/4.

So you do the math. The Z06 pretty much owns anything on the freeway, save for Vipers and BPUed Supras and such cars. A slightly modded WRX isn't going to keep up. It's definitely going to take upgraded turbo and a whole lot of boost and tuning to even keep up with the stock Z06. I'm sorry but it's just the plain truth.

That Z06 you mentioned was probably operated by a horrible driver, maybe not even redlining it or skipping gears, who knows. But you really have to know how fast the Z06s really are. Do your research before you talk. They are simply ANIMALS, everywhere, down low, mid range, and top end, they pull like a mofo. Those things are no joke.

(Jack Nicolson talking) But they (WRX owners) can't handle the truth!

Oh, did I tell you I beat a new Porsche Turbo with my Yugo the other day? He was driving really poorly and I was at the top of my game on that one.

i had never seen the word "freakin" so much in my entire life as i have in that scooby forum.

I agree with whoever said that fast does not equate to fun.
