American cars are unattractive (The newer models). IMO..... Chevy and Pontiac should of changed the design of the Camaro and Fire bird.... Lets face it American cars are not as well made as foreign cars.

 

American cars are not as well made? There is a pre conceived notion of quality with foreign cars, but it is not necessarily true. Toyota, while making a fine product, has always stressed regular maintenence to their customers, one of the reasons they have lasted so long. As far as build quality, many "imports" are assembled here in the US. And as far as build quality is concerned in American cars, you should look at some of the new Chrysler products, like the Pacifica or even better, the 300c. Some of the most superb quality I have seen in any car. JD power rates the Dodge trucks at a higher quality level than the Toyota Tundra as well. If we get into looks though, I will agree that the interior on the Trans Am is ugly, and even more so in the Z06. Not to say I will never own a Z06, because I am a performance junkie, and there really is no other car in its price range that can come close, import or domestic. Just my opinion.

 

Chrysler is building a better car. Probably the best of the American cars. But haven't you notice that after MB stepped in the Chrysler cars are starting to look a bit more European. They have taken some of the MB design. Just look at the cross fire.

 

No, Camaros and TAs ARE POS Steve... I live in NC and there are plenty of rednecks driving those things around here. Theyre made out of cheap material, theyre big, theyre fat and they handle like an elephant on rollerskates...Ive test driven one before so I know first hand, as embarrassing as it is to admit it. Those cars have no class to them which is the 2nd reason why I didnt buy it next to being a pure POS. They stopped making them because theyre junk. Sure theyre fast in a straight line, and no point to argue there but there are plenty of cars being made today that are of better quality and just as fast for around the same amount of money. I hope they bring the Camaro back with the concept design that Ive seen because its reminiscent of the 69 Camaro which is the last time I remember the Camaro looking attractive at all. Maybe theyll stop using the cheap plastic to make the interiors with.
