Huh, coulda sworn the old ones had a 155hp 4-banger SR motor, but you obviously know more on the subject than I do...
Anyway, sorry for hijacking the thread.. Those modded turbo diesels can make some serious grunt... It's best not to race trucks, because if they have to stop quickly it gets very ugly...

The first Quest came out in '93. It came with a 150hp VG30E. The van didn't change at all until '99 I think, and even at that it was only a body remake. The engine was mildly tuned to add something like 15hp. Since then, the van has not changed.
The next Quest will come with the VQ.
BTW, pre-VQ Nissans mostly shared the VG engine (Pathfinder, Quest, Maxima, and their Infiniti counterparts.)
