Default V6 Blazer

After going out to the local Saturday night car meet I was on my way home and saw a friend in his, recently turboed, V6 Blazer coming up in my rearview. I'd talked to him earlier tonight and he said that he was going to run one of our mutual friends that also has a S/C S2000. Since that guy wasn't coming out to the meet he mentioned running me. I told him I would, but nothing ever materialized, until now The Blazer is running 11 pounds tuned with EMS, I've got a Comptech SC stock boost (5psi) and exhaust.

We both made a left hand turn onto a 6 lane highway and I heard him get on the gas. I jumped on it as I was coming out of the turn and broke the back tires loose a little. We both had to slow for a redlight, he appeared to get a jump on me but nothing too conclusive and I was still confident. The light turned green before I was expecting it, I launched probably around 3500-4000 rpms and he walked away. We came up to the next light and I told him I wasn't ready for that one. He laughed, as he knows our lopsided powerband, and is always poking fun at the local S2000 guys. Light turns green, I drop the clutch at 5500, felt like I got a good launch but he pulled a car length on me maybe a little more. He held the lead up to about 70mph before breaking for yet another redlight (picture "Meet the Fockers" racing light to light). This time I told him he was killin me on the launch, how about we go from 25mph. He agrees, saying "I like 25." We roll off at green and he does the 3 honks thing. We end up starting around 30, which worked out better for me. From the roll I was able to pull on him, maybe a car length or 2 up to 80mph.

Definately some fun races, with a really cool guy. Talk about a sleeper! I NEED MORE BOOOOST!
