0 to 60 question on S2000
Guys, guys, guys. (and gals).
The S2000 is a wonderful car, but all in all it's a pretty crappy drag racer. 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are not this cars forte, regardless of what we are able to beat out of it. Hard to argue the combination of relatively low RPM torque, slip-prone clutch and lots of tire grip make it tricky, at best, to launch well.
Now twisty mountain roads on sunny days, casual track days, or even the pleasure of a simple commute home after work to eliminate the stress of a real job. This is what the S2000 is meant for...
