Thumbs up 00-01 hardtop kit install instructions...

Does anyone have the PDF install instructions for the 00-01 hardtop kit? I say 00-01 since this regards the defroster switch install, which the later models do not require.

There are 2 slots for switches on the armrest console. Which slot did the instructions illustrate to install the rear defrost switch - the driver side or the passenger side? I know I know it doesn't really matter, but I'm neurotic about making it look "stock" lol.

Also, can someone send me or post a pic of the install instructions on removing the center console to install that switch holder plate?

Thanks.

Since the defroster switch is an add-on and the subsequent (MY02 and later) years had the defroster switch on the dash, you can choose either side. I recommend the passenger side, since you are less likely to trigger the switch by accident by resting your arm on the console. This would cause the heater wires to remain on constantly until you realized your error. Better yet, PM me your email address and I will send you instructions on how to install the '02 switch on the dash (requires some skills on your side in fabrication) as well as other options for the '01. By the way, you show an '03 in your profile, why do you want the defroster hookup?

Hey dude, thanks for replying. Yes indeed, I do have an 03. I got my hands on a European OEM rear foglamp and am intending on using the defroster switch from the 00-01 hardtop kit to trigger the light. Someone has already sent me a PDF on the console install, but thank you anyway man, I appreciate it.
