NSX's are great cars no matter what year. I'd like to pick up a 97+ myself, but for now I'm happy with the S2000. No way an S2000 will beat an NSX, not with equal drivers. Especially on the highway, NSX will win, they have a lower cd and higher top speed. The pop-up healights could go, but other than that the look isn't really dated IMO because you don't see enough on the road to grow tired of it. I can count with my two hands how many NSX's I've seen in my life, so they're pretty rare in my neighborhood, even more the reason to get one...

As a bay area NSX owner, I can tell you that most owners here aren't going to get into a race with you.

Just some impressions after driving a 92. The pedel box is small, really small if you have a show size over 13 I would suggest you see if you fit. Even in my running shoes on I could not ever feel comfortable driving one, at least a manual., The auto is a different story all together. They cruise just like the s200 but without all the noise, you can go 130 on the freeway and not even feel the speed. The chassy flex is not bad for street use but take it on the track and you can feel it quite clearly. The nsx insurance will most likly be less, you will get more stares then the s2000. They dent and they dent fast, even quicker then the s2000. The s2000 I feel will depreciate like the del sols not much over time, at least nothing drastic, they will go up if and when honda decides not to build them anymore or they get so overburdened trying to be a GT car they lose there focus. The nsx will not go down value wise at all, mabye for damage but not much for depreciation, If you can hold off I would get a s2000 then when the economy goies down the toilet sell your dependable s2000 and jump on a owner trying to dump a 96+ car.

So you're saying I might have problems with size 15 shoes? What would be the consensus on legroom? Does the NSX have more legroom than the S2000, my guess would be that it does. I'm 6'3" and sometimes I wish the seat would go back a little farther...

Tabasco, you'll hear nothing but praise from me about the NSX. I hope to have one someday, maybe in a couple years. No other car on the market I'd sell my S2000 for, well out of the cars I might be able to afford at least. I'm curious to see what the next generation will have to offer. I've never seen a blue NSX in person, if you're ever up my way let me know.

The NSX has noticeably more legroom than the S2000. As an American Honda engineer put it - he can tie his shoelaces easily in the drivers seat of an NSX but not in an S2000. The NSX seat at it rearward most position has a lot more room than an S2000 seat in the same position.

I imagined the NSX would have more legroom being a longer car, probably better suited for a tall person like myself. I think my only complaint with the S2000 is that I'd like to stretch my legs out a little. After a long drive, I get pretty uncomfortable. I used to drive a '99 Prelude and the seat was always the whole way back, I had more than enough room in that car, very comfortable. I guess I'll have to sit in one to see whether the foot space is a big problem or not. I could always drive barefoot.

Thanks guys, who knows when I'll get a chance to drive an NSX to find out so the next best thing is to hear it straight from an owner. I'll have to write this stuff down when I need to justify getting a $50k+ sportscar in a couple years.

Btw, is it possible to fit a set of golf clubs in the trunk? Or is the trunk pretty much worthless?
