All those #'s don't mean squat, the main factor is the tool behind the wheel.

But

I've had 00, 04 & 06

Little or no difference in each cars performance.
Though the 06 feels quicker due to me doing more driving courses etc since I got the 00.

Selling point for 06 (for me) is VSA. Putting aside philosophical issues about electronic nannies and such, there's no arguing that stability control makes a car (especially RWD) safer. If you don't like it, turn it off. Personally, however, I won't ever buy another car without it.

This is why I am considering 06 all the way and with the history of S2k's easily oversteering on daily and wet roads. It is even wiser to get the 06.

The 06 has drive by wire which is why someone on here also mentioned that he/she feels the 06 is quicker.

I am trying to target an 06 but if I can't. I would love an 03 or at the lowest, an 02.

I just wish 03's white came with black interior!!!

Are all the seat colors interchangable?

Anyone has personal experience as far as n/a mods... (pointer: I am a suspension guy) I believe 170+ hp are all well suited hp for daily, the only thing I may get is a cai or sri for hopefully to up the mpg. I thought about the cooper S as well due to practicality but... I just always had my eyes on an s2k ever since 99's prototype and I love Hondas.

How is the average mpg on daily for most? city and maybe hwy with some mixture comparisons? (real world, not manufacture spec sheets).

The 06 has direct throttle cable which is why someone on here also mentioned that he/she feels the 06 is quicker. It basically is more responsive.
Actually it's quite the opposite.

They did away with the throttle cable for 06 and incorporated DBW (drive-by-wire) which is a computer controlled and adjusted throttle system that, IMO, is not as responsive and precise as having an actual throttle cable.

Mileage varies alot by geographic location and driving situations, but most of us see numbers better than the EPA guesstimates. The worst gas mileage I've ever gotten was 24 mpg, alot of autcrossing, and all city stop and go. The best I've gotten was 29 and change, all highway, 80-90 mph constant with occasional burst of VTEC to pass people.

Opps, your right, I meant drive by wire.

An off topic question, how is the stock sound system for the 03 and 06 s2k?
I hear the units in AP1 and AP2 are different. I would love to be able to hook up my ipod and play cds with mp3 like my current aftermarket but was curious how the stock or options out there for the s2k.

How about alarm?

Obviously I am asking more questions when looking into an s2k now. Perhaps I should start a new thread/post.

As for the epa and mpg... ok your right. Should go epa.
I get roughly 28 city and 32-33 on my current GSR so I was curious how much lower for a different honda class and beauty.

Thanks guys

I hated the stock stereo setup of my AP1, ditched it all for Alpine parts. Can't comment on the changes since I don't really know, and I don't have an alarm, either.
