Correct, cause we all know the AP2 is quiet and tamed....

I guess the Stig probably drove an AP1 before he was tamed.

Get the 07. I bought an 04 S as my first RWD vehicle and wish i would have got an 06 for the VSA. Plus, the AP2 offers larger rear tires so its harder to break the rear loose.
Driving like an idiot I have lost control of the car. Its not worth damaging b/c of a dumb mistake. Lear from others mistakes.
Either way you go, respect the car and enjoy.

The S2000 is most certainly a toy. It is designed from the ground up to be fun. Even though it *can* be used for other things, is used for other things, and does other things well, it is first, and foremost, a TOY!!

However, it's not a toy that is suitable for everyone, and I think that was the intent of the "not a toy" comment. If you work wood for a hobby, your toys include a table saw and other dangerous power tools that are "your toys," but are anything but toys in the sense of "toys for tots."

There are baby toys, kids toys, boys/girls toys, toys for young men and women, toys for old men and women, and toys for the men and women in between. The S2000 is a toy for those who have the judgement to enjoy it without tearing it up or hurting themselves or someone else, same as a table saw in a home workshop.

Big boy toy. Very dangerous if not treated with some respect and a modicum of judgement.

My Favorite Toy so far.

I am leaning more towards the AP1. My dad suggested me to get an S2000, while i was looking at the 07 Civic Si's. What he told me was you don't need a family car yet, get a s2000 while your still young, then later on when you have kids get that old civic.

I am switching out some parts for the AP1, maybe go to 2nrwerks and get an inlinepro turbo installed there!

Your dad rocks. I wish my dad had said that when I was 17. Then again I'd probably be dead. Wow, an AP1 with an inlinepro turbo...don't let your friends drive it!
