'03 S2000 vs '98 BMW M3
I owned a Dinan Stage 2 supercharged M3, with a high boost pulley and lots of other fun parts...
I miss the m3 and it definitely is a better do everything car, but the s2000 is more fun on a twisty road or on a race track. I drove the m3 pretty hard and broke just about everything that will break... contrary to what other's have experienced, I spent a LOT on repairs. Let's see, at 120K miles, I'd replaced 2 radiators, 2 sets of shock mounts, trailing arm bushings, tie rods, rear camber control arms, front control arms (ball joints aren't available separately) front control arm bushings, wheel bearings, shifter bushings, motor mounts, tranny mounts, subframe bushings... I had the rear trailing arms tear out of the car, I had the front subframe crack, the rear subframe mounts crack, etc etc.
The car was not cheap to maintain...

If you are into fixing up cars, i say u sell your M3 while it still holds its value. once you start having problems, u will have to waste a lot of money to fix it... those d#mn parts r so expensive
Sell the M3 and install a Turbo Charge with some other fun mods... put the top down and enjoy the fresh air
we welcome you

I had a 95 M3 (better suspension geometry than later cars, no traction control) and stock vs stock the M3 is "easier" to drive as in more torque, more predictable. The S2000 feels a tick faster however and is a blast to drive, lighter, more flickable. The S2000 feels a little more on edge, can't really explain it but it's a better overall driving experience. And as someone said before, cost of a rebuilt E36 M3 engine is horribly expensive, about $6500 last time I checked not to mention problems with other things breaking when driving hard. That being said I'd still like to own both
I also am lucky enough to have both. The S just got to be too much of a bother in winter, so I picked up the M3 as a winter driver. The M3 is almost as fast (butt dyno), but it's much more comfortable on the freeway commuting. More sedate, more torque. The S owns it once the top can go down and the road curves.

and after that you can help formulate a answer for yourself.
