I removed (actually, just raised up about 6 inches) the center console in my 2004 S2000 to allow me to pull the radio. After snapping it back in, my sliding cupholder cover doesn't retract the way it used to. It moves a couple of inches slowly and then stops. I can manually pull it back all the way but it clearly feels as if too much pressure is required.

I seem to recall others complaining about this issue in the past, but the S2KI search is broken now and I can't find the posts. Is there something simple I should look for to fix this? I removed the console again and looked underneath but didn't see anything obvious.

There's a center snap you likely didn't push in when you replaced the piece. Push down on the elbow rest and it should snap in and let the door slide easier.
