just acknowledge the FACT that the 04 makes more power
Sorry, no. I am a skeptic and a scientist at heart. Making assumptions based on limited data sets is not a valid approach. There are a lot of folks with 04's who want to believe the cars are making more horsepower (despite some data that shows the don't and some that does).

Most of us in the pre 04 camp have no interest or jealousy attached to this debate, me included. I have driven an 04 and will never buy one. Honda has in my book ruined what was a perfectly good car and made it appeal to the same old women who are buying base boxsters.

I don't think the '04 makes any more power than the '02, and '03.

I think some of the fanboys keep ignoring the fact that these are two totaly different dynos. And are going great lengths to argue. I would like to see the TOV car strapped on a dynojet.

I bet it would make around 206whp.

As for the "harder pull"

I've driven both, and yes the '04 pulls SLIGHTLY faster. Maybe due to gearing, slightly more torque, I don't know, but what I do know, it's not a 20-30whp difference.

Strap it onto a dynojet. It's pretty simple. I'm sure there is one around by your location.

fyi, an 04 did 218 on a dynojet where previous models ranged 192-200 on the same dyno in the bay area.

Well, I've seen 208whp from a '02 bone stock S2000, and 206whp on a 2004, on a dynojet.

And what about this one?

the person operating the dyno is an incredibly important factor.....that seems to be overlooked.

Well, so here we have two different dynos of the '04, with about 205whp, and two dynos on this magical Dynapack, making 240whp, and one dynojet making 210/212/218whp.

And the only cars that count are the ones that dyno higher than the rest?
