Thumbs up 05 S2000 Burn out?

Hi guys,

I try to do a burn out the other night (in safe control, enviorment. AKA parking lot) but I couldn't do it! I rev it all the way to 5k and drop the clutch, but it seems like the RPM just drop back to normal! What happen here? My friend has a 02 s2k and he can do that all day long! Am I missing something here? By the way, I got a 05.

Thanks!

Wow.. how old are you?

Your 05 has a valve in the clutch master cylinder that prevents "burn outs".

Should have gotten an 03 or earlier if you wanted to "burn out".
On another note, if your buddy does that all day long, hes not going to have a good rear end for much longer. (or clutch, or tranny, or........)

Your owner info says you have a 2000. Which is it?

IF you really want to do a burnout (not many or whip out the $$), you'll need to hold the revs higher.......like 6K+, and side step the clutch pedal. Meaning, let your foot slip off the side of the pedal. If you try to pull your clutch foot up like normal (but quicker) you'll just burn the clutch and it'll slip till it grabs, and make a terrible smell.

If you have an '05, the clutch delay valve may prevent you from ever doing this at all.
