I still recommend a supercharger though... its nothing more than an intake with a little spinny thinggy for extra help
Oh - I wasn't saying the thread was going off-topic. I was merely saying that my post might be a tad bit off topic since past few posts have been regarding details of gears and my post did not include anything about them. My bad for the confusion...

I have a feeling that if he can't afford all 3 of what he asked about, he's not going to afford a blower. In a perfect world, he could do it all.

What modification will give me the best performance gains? I heard only good things about gears, If i do get gears which ones would be best for 1/4 mile times? How much should they knock off the quarter?? What in your opinion should be my first mod ? Intake? / Exhaust? / Gears? I can only do one mod for for this year, what shall it be? Please tell me the best brand name in your opinion because im new to imports and dont know too much about them? ANY posts are appreciated, THANK YOU.

FOUR MPG on the highway with just 4.44??? Shit! I heard it was 1-2 gain in the city and 1-2 loss on the highway. I'd lose about 5-6mpg on the freeway with 4.57 than!! DAyammm..
So, if you use US gallons of a best of say 30 mpg, then you would be looking at about a 3 mpg reduction. Still a little more than what you heard, but not bad.

if you want a drag racer....maybe the first mod shoudl be a subaru wrx sti ?
this is a cruiser.. not a drag racer..
my z will run 12.41 out of the box..
not going to try the s..
i would say supercharger if you just want more performance.. but.. i don't think it will be a drag racer..
try autocrossisng or a track event DE

Comptech cars have been running since they first came out (several years) and as long as the kit was not changed to produce more output and maintenance has been adhered to, there is no reason why it shouldn't last as long as any other part of the car. If you change the kit, all bets are off.
