doesnt double clutching cause excessive wear on the master cylinder due to the pumping? A friend of mines master cylinder failed and we are fairly sure double clutching is why. But for the s2k this is only between 1-2 and when it is cold. Could this cause master cylinder wear?

It's a good idea to because it saves wear and tear on the synchros.

I think some have missed my last sentences - i advised this for the first couple of upshifts on a cold box - not every time.

Rev matching for downshifts is a different animal altogether.

I'll take my cold tranny feel over warm any day. I have no problems on the 1st to 2nd shift in the cold, really smooth but I don't have the same confidence when the tranny heats up. Sometimes, when the tranny is warm or hot, the 1st to 2nd shift blows pass the resistance point and it grinds.

Double clutch all the time. I have been enjoying this technique for about a year now.
