Well, I have asked the same question when I bought my MR2. I was told it's impossible to get 300 rwhp out of a daily driver. I surpassed that goal and moved on to a 500 rwhp one. It ended up being over 600 rwhp when I parted it out. It sure wasnt a daily driver, but it did show people that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH $$.

Not saying it's not possible, but it will dip deep into your pockets.

You can get a S2000 to beat 12sec all motor.
All you need is a cliff that's a 1/4 mile off the ground.
Gravity-assist 1320 should help you break into 12sec.

What kind of times have you gotten with your cobra (which by the way is not all motor....so.....ahahaha).

I ran 12.441@116 with my cobra (exhaust, cats and the computer had been flashed at the time)... stock pully though..

I may attempt to drag race my car one time in the spring....it should weigh about 2500lbs with the rollcage, etc....... which is about 250lbs less than stock..... i have a veilside ti exhaust and will have some kind of intake (PGM PMG something like that), test pipe and that is about it for engine mods...... i doubt it will be in the 12's though.....

I truly feel bad for those who thinks S2000 is a drag car.

It is precision tool that is designed to carve corners and run faster than many competitor around the track.

Simple as that. Who gives rats rump about 0-60, or 1/4mile run? Its all about track time. Last time I checked S2000 runs one of the fastest tracktime. That is enough for me.

4.77 gears w. stronger clutch and lsd, weight reduction, full bolt ons, light 16inch rims with some drag radials in the back, adjustable suspension with drag racing settings, custom tune it all with an AEM EMS or the like and i believe it'd reach mid to low 13's with the right driver.

And for those who say its not a "drag racing car" please stop, it adds nothing to the conversation at hand. Because you post taht, do you think he/she is going to say, "Wow, they're right!" and stop? No.

Let the man drive it how he likes. No one is forcing YOU to drive it that way.

I dont' see why it's not possible ot hit 12's... just doing a simple comparison of lotus elise with toyota 180hp enging and 2000lbs runs high 11's...

if we do enough weight drop on the car plus some lightweight engine mods i think 11's are even possible
