Default 15,000 check up?

I got a leter in the mail from my local honda dealer saying to come in for my 15,000 miles check up. I have almost 16,000 on my car right now. Is the check up really imprtant? What do they check anyways? Can I just check it myself? When I purcheased the car the salsmen said there is no schedualed mainteince till 105,000 miles. Let me know what you think. Thanks

My maint req'd light came on at 15,050 miles. The dealership listed quite a few things on the work order that they did, mostly inspection stuff, plus rotate tires (swap tires/rims), flush coolant, change oil, etc... was about $150 for full inspection. Worth it to me.

rotate tires on a s2k?

I think the 15K service is worth it for those who dont have the time to do it, its one of the easiest ones to tackle in the garage.

My 15K check up is rapidly approaching. I'll repalce all fluids except maybe coolant.
Oil
Trans
Diff
Clutch
Brake
I'm thinking new brake pads too and at the minimum new rear SO2's or if I can get off the fence all new BFG's all around.
I'm also wrestling with the idea of a valve adjustment too.
