ahahaha took me about 2 or 3 tries tog et it in reverse cause theres only so many ways to get into reverse and i've experienced alotta different ones but i remember driving my friends vw rabbit and it was the same way. but if it wasnt for my friends car, i would have never guessed to push down on the knob.

but to find the gas lever, i was at the gas station with a date as well and it took me a little over 5 minutes to find it aha! i looked for a lever everywehrrree, i insisted that it was either under the seat or in the glove compartment aha.

and as for the secret compartment, i didnt even know about it till 2 months later, my friend test drives my car cause i havent seen him in a while and h'es never driven an s2 before. so he gets in, checks everything out, compliments the car, and opens the glove compartment, opens this magical door on top like it was nothing, closes everything and im just like... "WAIT WHAT?!" he just assumed it opened there and it did! and i couldnt believe my eyes! ahaha! and my radio code card just so happen to be in there. freakin SWEEET! =)

I was less stupid on the gas door part. I knew it would be in a logical place along the edge somewhere if it wasn't right on the dash, in the glove box or near the hood release.

Now i did have to ask someone how to stick it in reverse, never knew the s2k has the press down and put in reverse mechanism

I just pulled up to a parking spot and kept sticking it in 6th gear until i asked a dude and he told me.

I had trouble finding reverse until the previous owner told me you had to push down vertically on the shifter. He showed me where the gas door latch and secret compartments were too. =P

My first incident was after seeing the stickers on the boards here saying top down unless the storm has a name. Well, when I was driving home after purchasing the S I had the top down and saw rain clouds and thought, oh cool, nice little rain storm I can drive through. Yeah right... the rain hit and I was getting pummeled. Pull over, screech to a halt, and put top up. haha, fun time though.

I actually had the salesman at the dealer where I first testdrove one not know where the fuel latch was. It was low and he was going to put some fuel in so I could have an extended drive. He ended up getting a tech out from the service bay and HE didnt know where it was either. Took about 20 minutes of them looking around with a flashlight (it was dark) before they found it.

I had no idea since that car didnt have the owners manual.

My first scare:
After all the paperwork was done the salesman drove me next door to fill up the tank.
After it was all filled and he had walked away I was ready for my first drive.
I get in, push in the clutch, push the start button, and look at the dash.
HOLY CRAP, MY CAR IS BROKEN ALREADY! WTF?
The digital display was not reading 0, it was just displaying a single vertical line.

After the heart palputation sunsided I realized I was rolling slightly and the car was telling me I was going 1 mph.

^Now that's funny.

I did some research here before going on any test drives and making my purchase, so gas and the secret compartment were easy. My friend had an RSX-S and told me about reverse when he came with me to my first test drive. Its good to know knowledgable people and do some research. I can tell you, going from reverse being by 1st to being by 6th is a little bit of a adjustment.

Good stories everyone, keep em coming!

Anyone have these problems but in reverse? My friend who I sold my beast Turbo Integra to has a new Civic Si and keeps thinking that he can shift into 6th... yikes! It doesn't help that the thing has an ITR tranny making you feel like you should have one more gear either!
