I have an 05. I am going to change my oil at 2k. I am just wondering what Brand and weight of oil did everybody use. I am undecided but I may go with Honda Motor Oil. Any suggestions. Any feed back would be appreciated.

2K???.....you may want to read oil journals before posting....leave the factory oil in till AT LEAST 3750 if not 5000

 

2K miles is too early.

 

You might want to read the owner's manual. The oil from the factory has "break in" additives. They recommend that you leave this oil in for 7500 miles. Admittedly, I changed my oil sooner because I started autocrossing the car at just over 3000 miles ( I just couldn't wait to push this car some) but I not sure it wouldn't have been better to follow the factory recommendations.

 

 

wait til 5000 miles. and then, change it out using honda oil or mobil drive clean. then wait til 7500-10,000 if you are going to use synthetic.
