Try this for the defrost, not sure if it works on the 04-05's though.

This is in the stickied FAQ thread at the top of "S2000 Talk"

On question #1, let's see if I can remember this correctly. It is on the forum somewhere but I'm not sure.

Anyway.......

1. turn the key on
2. turn the vent control full left or counterclockwise to the dash vent position
3. turn the temp control to full cold
4. turn the blower fan off
5. turn the key off
6. push the AC and Recirc buttons simultaneously and continue to hold them down
7. turn the key back on, "do not" release the AC and recirc buttons.
8. the lights (don't remember if it's the AC or recirc light but it doesn't matter) will go through a series of flashes. This may take a while, give it 30 to 45 seconds at least. When they quit, you should be all set.

If it worked, you can start the car and turn the vent control over to defrost. The AC will still activate as before but it will now let you turn it back off. Just FYI, there are some atmospheric conditions where the defroster will work much better if the AC is on. That's one of the reasons that Honda has it setup this way but it's not always the case and like you, I like having the option. I just hope I remembered those steps correctly!

On question #2, the only thing I remember seeing is two links on the S2ki home screen (www.w2ki.com). They're at the bottom of the list of links along the left side of the screen. If there's something else you're looking for, try the search function. It works sometimes!

That's it! I'm going to bookmark it this time!

ITR Racer,

If it didn't work, then maybe you missed something. This was the first thing I did to my car when I took delivery in June of '04. It worked great for me.

Try again!

Good luck & Drive Safe,
