I'm looking to buy a 2000 s2k and i was just wondering if there are any notable problems that i should worry about.. or any reason why i shouldnt get this particular year. thanks

 

MY00-01s have a couple TSB's such as the clutch buzz, and the spark plug TSB's - MY02-03s have a glass rear window, better speakers and different ecu - it really depends how much you want to spend. my S has 65k miles on it and its worth about $15k.

The biggest problem is they don't have a clock!!! That's correct, neither the radio, nor the instrument cluster have a clock. Everything else is minor in comparison

 

Just the plastic rear window is all I hear often.

 

no notable problems.. just a few annoyances as mentioned above. plastic window, clutch buzz.

 

there was Also a TSB for the seatbelts

otherwise than the plastic window and other TSB's mentioned above the car is great

I replaced my softtop with a glass window one

 

I own a MY2000 and the only problem I have had is stoppages. I'm driving along MYOB and don't ya know, that flashing red light comes on in all the mirrors. Have to then stop and talk to people and sometimes pay money...crap.

I think the issue with the seat belts was a recall, not a TSB?
