2002 3rd gear notch?

Just bought a new '03 a week ago in Minneapolis and i have encountered the 3rd gear notch/gate problem... it's annoying, i only have 800 miles on my car now and hope it will go away.

My MY03 has the notchy feeling from 2nd to 3rd, but I kind of like it. I think it happens more when cold and more when shifted slowly and straight up from neutral. Seems like part of its personality to me.
