Default 2002 clutch question

For anyone that has driven both the MY 00-01 and MY 02 I have a question. I have noticed that during normal driving when I engage the clutch quickly, it really grabs good .... however, then I'm driving fairly hard (take it to redline) I notice the clutch seems to not grab as hard. It almost seems like it is slipping - sort of. Kind of like a gradual grab if that makes since. I'm wondering if Honda decided to some how adjust the tuning of the clutch to save ware and tear on the rest of the drivetrain. Just something I have noticed and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. BTW the car has about 1000 miles on it.

Owned both years. The clutch on the 2002 is better, lighter but grabs better IMO. I think on the S your always better of letting the clutch as quickly as possible, side stepping rather than easing it out. If you ease out the clutch you'll heat it up. It's probably still the weakest link in the drivetrain though so I try to be very good to it.
