People refer the AP1 MY00 - MY03 to be the raw S2000's with the 9000K RPM, while the AP2 MY04 and up to be more refined and a better daily driver. If you search you will find tons of information regarding AP1 vs. AP2.

When it comes to what's better AP1 or AP2 that is a very old argument, and I say argument because the opinions are fueled by passion. For me, just me, AP1 is greater than AP2.

I find the overall road noise is less with the HT on than with just the soft-top up, but not a lot.

The one is twice as old and has four times the use on it as the other one, and $4K difference seems too much to you?

You need to go read the FAQs in the Introductions Forum.

How do you quantify "raw" for a sportscar anyway?

I have spent hours reading the threads on the differences. I'm looking for subjective opinions.

If the AP2 is out of your range then I would suggest you go for the AP1 Good luck.

I'm not stating there is a $4K difference between the two cars I drove. I'm saying there is at least a $4k differnce in price between the average 2002 and 2004. That's a much greater difference than between and 2000 and 2002. I can justify $3K differnce but not $4K. I know all the technical differences...
