My vote is get the '04.

It is not just cosmetic improvements that were done; engine, transmission, suspension all were tweaked and improved on an already awesome car.

But my opinion is biased.....lol

Drive both and make your own decision like I did.

Go for the 2004, it will look much rarer on the road than the 2003, and the yellow is different, as well as a couple of other interior/exterior combo's. Too bad they got rid of the White with Red Leather, I thought that was pretty hot; although I own a blue one.

i don't believe the 04's are toned down, just more refined and fine-tuned. again, its all personal preference. my buddy just a bought MY04 sebring silver s2000 and it is just as amazing as the 00-03 models. the exterior upgrades are appealing, and the engine torque has noticably been improved. honda is going in the right direction.

I would also check with your insurance company first also.
It could be a difference if they class it differently.
