Hahahah that's funny!

You don't think I haven't driven one? I'm a manager at a Honda dealership and can drive one anytime. Would I buy one....No. First it's too small. I need a back seat. Secondly, it's plenty SPORTY and has more prestige and heritage than a Honda. BMW has been around for a long time. And is known for their Ultimate Driving Machines.

Don't get me wrong, I love Honda's they just aren't everything people say they are. BTW, my 2002 M3 is on order, that's why I'm driving this 325CI till it arrives.

I'm pretty sure an 2002 M3 is a REAL SPORTS CAR.

Hahahaha!

Boy aren't we defensive!!!

Didn't you guys read my post. I love Honda's and the S2000. I just wouldn't buy one for ME. It just doesn't suit MY needs and wants as a consumer. The S2000 is a great car, and anyone that buys one will be more than happy.

I just wouldn't be happy.

Take a pill,

JE

I would venture a guess that people who can't or don't understand or appreciate the qualities of the S2000 are apt to quote statistics that they read to slam the car - torque being the case here.
I wasn't quoting statistics... I drove the car. No slam intended. I like the S2000... just wish it had a bit more low rpm torque for a daily driver.

I am not a car guru - I have learned a lot on this site, and UNDERSTAND how the torque may on paper be an issue, but in reality is NOT
Paper issue??? Broad flat torque bands that come on at lower RPM's are very useful... especially on the street.

No, while I really admire the M3, it's not a sports car...it was never designed as such and with the E46 version, it's CERTAINLY not a "sports car." It's a sports SEDAN and the whole design imperitive behind the M class cars is/was to have high performance vehicles that carry 4 people and thusly, BMW coined the term "sports sedan."

But I do think that Mr. BMW325CI has exhibited troll-like behavior...is he a little green monster that lives under bridges? Only time will tell...

Hey Craig!

I agree with you on all counts!!

For my M3 I wish it was a little lighter. But it's OK cause I like the car.

I love the s2000 I also wish it had more torque.

Once you sidestep the clutch at 8K RPM you will forget all about the lack torque!
That I would like to try but doubt any dealer would allow it... plus the flaming I would receive would be unbearable

One other question: The steering wheel was a bit too low, or the seat too high, for me. It made it difficult to heel and toe since my leg would hit the wheel. Has anyone lowered the seat?

Enjoy the M3! Did you get SMG? My more rational friends think I should get one of those instead of another 2-seater. I haven't had a chance to drive one yet... afraid I might like it

Sorry Guys!

I don't mean to be a "troll". And at some point I probably was. And I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

I promise to behave myself. I just wanted to express a different point of view. That is all.

Truce...
