Default 2003 S2000 Build Date

Just got back from the dealer and my red S2000 has a build date of August 26th. I'm sure someone on the forum knows how to figure out when the 2003s will hit the dealership based on build dates. The salesman told me that I would get the car in late Oct or early Nov.

I didn't realize you have to wait 3 months from the time you order till the time you recieve it. How long have others here had to wait? I will probably have to order mine and would like to know how far in advance to do it.

I had one of the first '02's here on the board with #285. I bought her after Rick's NorthEast Meet (Fall Colors Tour '01) in October.

I traded my '00 Berlina Black/Red for the Sebring Silver. My purchase date was October 22nd, a Monday. The dealer said that the car arrived Friday late afternoon (October 19th).

So the dealer is right by telling you late October, mid-November. Congrats!

Here's a picture of that day. . .

Your salesman is right...Oct 25th ----> Nov. 15th..and a little depends on where in the US. They come in at a San Diego port and it goes by rail from there unless you're buying in SoCal.

Don't forget that a large portion of the S2000's are also shipped via the Panama Canal into the port in Baltimore.
