2004 Honda S2000 Dyno
Just dyno'd my 2004 S2000 and I didn't get the claimed horsepower as what vtec.net got. I only have 2800 miles on my S2000 and it was about 80 degrees outside. The red run was in 3rd gear, and the blue run was in 4th gear.
Hrm, this ads to more of the confusion of the 220+ WHP 2004 S2000. Maybe I'll get more power as the engine ages?

you guys need to understand something, the vtec.net dyno is NOT whp it's BHP.
Dynapak dyno's measures output only up the resistance given by the unsprung weight of the brake rotors hence the term brake horse power. These dyno's yield higher numbers people like in the 5-10% range.
Now you add the wheels and roll it on the dynojet and you get wheel horse power (whp) which takes into effect the adverse properties of wheel weight.
Dynapaks, what they used for the vtec.net dyno's, are great for tuning purposes, but you don't drive on the street without wheels.
Now let'd do some math, you roll a stock S on a dynojet WITH the wheels of couse, you get around 200whp, now you put it on the dynapack where the results are 5-10% HIGHER you get 210-220bhp. Now do we understand?

Maybe you guys will get it now and we won't need a 9 page thread.

So Honda didn't underrate these cars after all? 199 is right about where the 00-03's put down. Hey, at least its better then the 175 you put down a week or two ago . How many miles do you have on your '04 now?
