umm..then just keep yours??
they can't ruin the design of your car!!

If there is in fact a model redesign, and new powerplant, I'd guess that they'd do an i-VTEC implementation, and perhaps a bit more displacement -- either or both to help bring up the torque.

Secret AP1 mentioned the design screwups all over the industry, and I too am fearing what they might do to destroy the simple could-be-classic shape of the S2000.

Visually, IMO, Honda designs have grown steadily worse since the early 90s, with the only bright spots being the 1999 redesign of the Accord, especially the coupe, and the S2000. The spy photos of the new Accords are discouraging as well.

what is wrong with you guys? did you want the S2000 to be like the NSX and never change? I welcome the changes. It gives you choices. You can keep your car or get a newer, different, possibly better one...what's the problem?

Regarding info. for model year 2004, I highly doubt an all new S2000, with a new motor will be released in the same year the all-new NSX is supposed to make its world-wide debut. Second fact, when the S2000 was released it was announced that Honda would have to sell out of the limited S2000s for 4-5 yrs to make up the extraordinary research and development costs that went into it, although these costs would also be made up through using some of the technologies in other cars such as the rsx/integra, civic, accord; they would still want to make some profit off their anniversary car. Honda spent 1994-1999 developing the S2000. It just doesnt make sense for a "strictly profit oriented" company like honda to simply change designs and start from scratch after spending half a decade perfecting the S2000. Thirdly, in recent years, hot honda cars have enjoyed extended lives, such as the integra and nsx, whose designs were so great that Honda left them alone, I personally think the trend will continue for the S2000. Fourthly, Roadsters in the same class have all had extended lives over the 4 yr norm, such as the z3, boxter, miata (not the same class), although the boxter and z3 are due for changes in 03, both these cars came out years before the S2000 arrived in 2000.
Being that the S2000 is already in limited production I'd like to hope that another 2-3 model years would be squeezed out of the S2000. but after saying such, i do believe small updates,
such as wheels or bumper designs are in the works. Possibly even a discontinuation

I hope to purchase a 2003 S2000 and would like to see them make the car somewhat of a "classic" roadster by not changing it so abruptly, as it continues to gain momentum and respect in the automobile community.
