2004, perfect timing for a resurgence in the S2000 in the way of a Type R version. Maybe Honda will use the Integra timeline rather than the NSX time for the S2000.

You know, the S2000 is just as unique as the NSX and the Prelude, it can also merit its own timeline of events.

Hey I noticed that you've tricked out your s2k...just a little bit...
Mind if I ask you....
1) Where's the best place to get toys for an S2K...
2) Best "mod" you've done (most effective).

I just got mine...and my past experience with my "toys" tell me that I should ask those who know...from THIER experience !

Thanks

i seriously think any name other than S2000 sounds stupid.. like S2200 or S2400 or S3000... I think Honda's marketing team for the S is smart enough to know these names cheapen the name of the car into some kind of infomercial gadget...

What I'm waiting to see is how Honda improves the "pedestrian" safety target set Europe. The S2000 did great on overall safety, frontal safety, and side impact safety but not so well on the new pedestrian issue. One look at the car and you know it's going to nail a pedestrian just above the ankles. Dah. A spokesman from Honda said the new expectations were not in place when the car was designed but they will try to address it in future models. That should be interesting! Probably that 2004 model....

There's some mention of pedestrian safety in the S2000 coffee table book (can't remember the author's name)... Talks about the windshield wiper mounts being designed to break off or something like that.

Any links somewhere to these European safety specs, dlg? I'm really curious.
