Default 2004 owners, question.

Well I had asked in one thread but I guess no one saw it. Sooo I decided to just open a thread about it.

Just how far out of Vtec do you land when shifting at redline in each gear in your 04 S2k? I know it doesnt really matter much because of the increased power and shorter gearing, but I am just curious.

I did search but I could not find the answer to my question.

Thanks in advance.

- Jason.

I haven't recevied my car yet, but I'd like to take a stab at it.

After seeing the notorious video of the tech, it seemed that with the shorter gearing, you'd still be in VTEC land after each shift.

This is all out of my a$$, so can someone back me up or prove me wrong?

Well in another thread people were saying it drops out of vtec with every shift. My question is just how much.

I find myself at 5800 rpm after each shift. Vtec starts right around 6 grand. Gearing is well matched to the engine for acceleration.

Ok cool, not far out at all, the gearing and power should easily overcome the 200 rpm's that it falls out.
