Default 2004 and VAFC/VAFC II

Tomorrow I have an opportunity to have my VTEC engagement lowered and I want to know if it is a good idea or not. I have an 04 and I have seen a couple post here about VAFC not being compatable or something. Anyone with an 04 that lowered their VTEC engagement. Also what should I lower it to? I was thinking 5,700 RPMs or 5,600 RPMs. If it matters I am still NA and plan on being NA for a wile longer. Thanks

No point on fiddling with the vtec engagement on a stock vehicle. You're probably gonna make your car bog in that area if you do.

If you wanna stay n/a, don't waste money on piggybacks and go straight to a standalone. Yeah i know, yada yada its alot of money. But hey, no one said n/a was cheap.

mony is a concern to a point but I could get standalone if the benifits are there. Think you could tell me more about it and why a lower VTEC engagement is not a good idea for a NA S2000 with intake and exhause (maybe header in a month or so). Thanks
