Wow, awesome deal! I got mine for $31,489 and I thought that was a smoking deal, but I didn't lease and it was 6 months ago, so I guess it still was a pretty good deal. Congrats!

I paid nothing down - just first payment and taxes. The payments are $369 per month not including tax. The car was $30,247.37 which included the car, destination, and the dealer's doc fee. MF was 0.00073 and the residual 54% .

MSRP is $34,935 and invoice is $31,689 so my price was $1,441.63 under invoice. Note that there is a $1k dealer incentive for LEASES, so the purchase price would have been $1k higher.

Excellent- that is almost identical to what I pay for my 06(363/mth + tax) and my up fronts were the same as your as well. I hope I can wrangle the same kind of deal next year when my lease ends(5/09). Good luck with your new ride!

Based on slow sales, it is likely there should be some left over 08 S2000s still on the lots at that time but there will probably be no lease deals on them by then. I would be surprised if they made an 09 S2000, but you never know.

Whats better than an '06? The answer is simple. I'ts an '07. The only thing better than an '07 is an '08. If this car continues as a production model, then an '09 will be even better and there is no reason to believe otherwise at this point in time. No money issues? Then get an '08.

I really like the new wheels, I'm a sucker for a 5 spoke.

It is confirmed Honda will make the S2000 in 2009 BTW. I figured they would since they typically do at least 2yrs per cycle(wheels, gauges, trim). With the CR's intro I would also think they want to do a couple of years to cover development.

Congrats Dennis. Its a great car that keeps getting better with every update. 10 years in, its still THE roadster of choice for someone looking for pure fun, with a dash of practicality. Enjoy the car in the best of health.

Well, now that you got the 08, take advantage of the programmable ECU and get the Hondata reflash Since you don't sound like a heavy modder, it's a pretty simple mod with nice gains in the midrange. I'd have to pay for much pricier tuning (and not nearly as elegant) to get the equivalent on my 04 I think.
