2007, 2008 Civic Si performance vs my AP1?
If you ask me they're starting to get too heavy for their own good. CTR did beat RSX R in straight line, thats impressive, and it ran slightly faster than NSX around Suzuka, CTR would be the only civic I would consider, or a mugen RR mmm haha. Wondering if the entire suspension could be swapped. Then I would buy a civic!

Hahaha, what a great video!

Just proves that it's *always* a drivers race, but the Civic did make a good accounting of itself.
Nice find.

the day stock civic si beats s2k is the day i'm done with honda
The S2000 is definitely faster stock for stock. It's like comparing an RSX-S to the S2000. If you mod the Si, the difference is closer and with enough mods, can beat a stock S2000. Under the old SAE Horsepower standards, it was rated at 200HP. The new SAE measurements rated it at 197. It was the same HP change for the S2000 as well.
yaa but u gotta say this car is pretty bad ass for a civic

thnx, but ya whenever i see post about car vs car it almost always the majority agree its driver vs driver.
There has to be a HUGE difference between two cars for the driver not to be the deciding factor, at least some of the time (if not most of the time). Every time I go to a PCA autocross I dust off GT3's, so does that mean that the S2000 is quicker than a GT3?
Hahaha, I don't think so.

For what it cost to put a supercharger and gears in an S2000 I can start with nothing, buy a used Miata, and build a car that will dust off any stock S2000 easily, but all that really proves are that Miata's are cheap and have lots of effective performance parts availabe at low cost. With a Civic, I can do even more for the $$$ spent than with a Miata (but if I were building a drag car I'd be building an old school car with massive displacement and a big GMC blower
).Horsepower and acceleration are cheap and easy. Superior handling presents a much greater challenge.
