2009 S2000 News
I dont care that Honda will produce a new car.
Bigger or smaller ,just don't call it an S2000.
At minimum, change the letter (S) designation.
I don't even care that Honda will probably promote the car as an "improved roadster", but change the model designation to something else.
Let the "new" car stand on it's own merits and let the public make comparisons.
Perhaps the new car will gather a new cult following but it will inevetably be compared to the S2000. This is not a bad thing IMO.

I would love to see a lighter, smaller, cheaper, retro styled, K series powered roadster from Honda. I think this is a great step forward. They could have gone for a heavier, more expensive luxo barge instead. I say Kudos to Honda. If power is your main concern you shoulda bought a 350Z.

and for anybody that wants a car that goes up in value, go buy a mid 60s Jag XKE or something,
me... I think I'll just drive the wheels off my S and enjoy it.
Not to offend anyone's sexuality, but that article could not have been more gay. It had such a negative undertone in every point it was trying to make. This author just needs to come out and admit they are clinically depressed and let's get him on some meds.
It's like others have stated earlier. Honda is no jackass of a company. They won't "simplify" and try to reverse entropy with a "zen" car. They definately won't make one slower than the current - look at the accord - and its mainstream. Also, where are the concepts and real world testing? I've wasted enough energy on this bushleague article.

It needs to be discontinued, its basically the same car for the past 10 years. HOW LAME, BORING, and not cool.

Yeah, well. THAT one was an April Fools day joke, not an actual rumor.
My point is this crap happens every year.
