I would love to see a lighter, smaller, cheaper, retro styled, K series powered roadster from Honda. I think this is a great step forward. They could have gone for a heavier, more expensive luxo barge instead. I say Kudos to Honda. If power is your main concern you shoulda bought a 350Z. uke:
Exactly my thinking. The K is an awesome motor.

I'd rather see the S2k discontinued.

They can call the new car Sx5 or whatever really.

What pissed me off with that "preview" was the mention of it being lighter than the current s2000 and being ON PAR with the SOLSTICE and the SKY. WTF... I mean WTF!!! I'm getting tired of these reviewers.

I read another edmunds review on the S2000 today and how they were complaining about this, rough ride that, the CR is not a daily commuter this, tight compartment that, not enough amenities this.

When will they review a sports car as a SPORTS CAR and not a town car. And when will they start hiring reviewers that are actually knowledgeable about different types of cars.

Really? I would think people would be happy to see a NEW S2000 hit the streets with an accurate nomenclature once again(2.0l). The 200hp Civic motor is quite good and if they do cut the weight to 2700 or so it won't be much difference performancewise and may be a much more comfortable car as well. I am glad they aren't talking about INCREASING size/weight to go after the 350z... This move makes sense to me as if they increased the performance level they would be at $40K and might as well make the car an Acura. If they want to compete with the Miata and Skystice they need to get the price down a bit. The car as described would probably win over some Miata drivers who have long been asking for more power.

An S2000 without any balls...scary. If I wanted a Miata I would buy one. This sucks if true.
